Spiritual fruitfulness doesn't come from trying harder to be a better Christian—it comes from abiding in Jesus Christ. In John 15:1–8, Jesus describes himself as the true vine, his Father as the faithful gardener, and his followers as branches that depend entirely upon him for life. Just as a branch cannot produce grapes apart from the vine, we cannot produce the character of Christ apart from his transforming work within us. Through his Word, prayer, and obedience, we learn to depend upon Christ while our heavenly Father lovingly cultivates and prunes our lives for greater fruitfulness. The Holy Spirit produces fruit that transforms our character, blesses others, and brings glory to God. Join us as we discover why the Christian life is not about manufacturing spiritual fruit but remaining connected to the One who produces it.
